Pedro, you can head on over to http://iwebkit.net/downloads and download the framework. It's already set up with a demo included inside the .zip.

Good luck on your DB app.

Hi Christopher,

I am in the process of developing a DB driven application, but do not know yet, if I should use iWebKit or iUI please send me your demo.

Hi,

i'm Christopher the creator of iWebKit. I want to thank you for your article and find it truly interesting. I am currently working on version 5 And it will blow your mind (seriously). Send me a mail for a preview demo if you are interrested!

Yes, it's a shame that iWebKit is impressive to look at but has essentially been abandoned by the team developing it. Granted, iUI is the clear solution for large scale projects, but it would be nice to see some of those aesthetic features in a well-maintained and documented framework like iUI.

I've tested them all using a list of about 300 items and iUI was the victor in terms of performance. I created a webpage utilizing iUI, JQTouch, and iWebKit and then installed it onto my iPod Touch using phoneGap.

iWebKit looks better, though because many more of the iPhone/iPod Touch elements are there. JQTouch also looks good interface-wise, but the performance as a PhoneGap application was pretty awful. They need to optimize their code.

One other framework to keep in mind is the rather powerful jQTouch, based on jQuery.
